In the small manufacturing house in Rinteln, each watch is created by hand individually over the course of several days. YORK has tasked itself with reconciling contemporary history with design and technical delicacies.
Max Sause - Technology and pioneer spirit
During his 15 years on the tracks he earned the nickname “Prinz Sause” (“Speedy Prince”) – or “Max Sause” to his family – and had a decisive influence on the early days of motorsports. With his team, he drove in the 1930s in Spa, Le Mans and Mille Miglia, leaving competitors in the dust and heading straight for the podium. So that they didn’t fall by the wayside during these endurance races, both driver and co-driver had to possess excellent driving skills, resilience and technical expertise – only half of the teams that started were able to live up to this challenge.
Max Sause is the namesake of our athletic chronograph.
